Instrument Makers
Every Easter the National Folk Festival has the pleasure of hosting a group of Australian Artisans who showcase their exquisite handcrafted instruments. The Instrument Makers Pavilion holds a very special place at the National bringing together 20 to 25 Master craftsmen and women who share their knowledge of instrument making with both Performers and the general public through display and demonstration.
A special event held each year at the festival is the Instrument Makers Concert at which selected Performers play a number of these handcrafted instruments. An enchanting experience and one that leaves both musicians and non-musicians alike entranced by both the quality and sound of these beautiful instruments.
To apply to be a part of the Instrument Makers display at the 2012 festival you will need to complete an online application form, which can be accessed by clicking here.
