		<title>Great news regarding the Colonial Ball!!!!!!</title>
		<description><![CDATA[Yes, it&#8217;s back on.  After much consultation, and deliberation, we&#8217;ve found a way to hold the ball this year. It will be held at the historic Yarralumla Woolshed in Curtin.  There will be maps and directions at the dance venues on site, as well as information on car-pooling. We are trying to sort out some mini-vans to help transport people to and from the site as well, so stay tuned for up-dates. And for those who are panicking, this is a move for this year only. 		<title>National Cultural Policy Submission</title>
		<description><![CDATA[In its submission to the Federal Government, the National Folk Festival strongly supported the Government’s intention to develop a  national cultural policy.  The submission said that understanding  and preserving our cultural heritage  and creating an environment in which it can evolve, in a way which is creative, dynamic and innovative, should be an integral  component of a national cultural policy.

		<title>Important Information for Ticket Buyers</title>

National Folk Festival Ticketing Hotline: 1300 235 849
There will be NO CAMPING TICKETS SOLD AT THE GATE at the 2010 Festival. They must be pre-purchased BEFORE 5 MARCH.
A fee of $11 will be charged for a Camping Vehicle Pass for Season Camping ticket buyers who bring a vehicle into campgrounds
The Festival is unable to guarantee powered sites
Day tickets will not be on sale until 1 February

		<title>Submissions for the 2010 National Folklore Conference</title>
		<description><![CDATA[The conference explores the more cerebral aspect of the National Folk Festival, with presentations, lectures and activities looking at the rich vein of folklore. In 2010 it will be held on the folklorically appropriate date of Thursday, April 1 at the National Library of Australia.
The Organising Committee are seeking expressions of interest from people interested in giving a presentation on an aspect of folklore. For more information see the  National Folklore Conference webpage.
