Important Information regarding ticket sales for 2010.
Due to the withdrawal of key sponsors and an increase in costs the Festival has had to raise ticket prices for 2010. By increasing the prices the Festival will continue to a be a high quality event while continuing to provide all those services that make the event so unique.
With over over 900 hours of events across four and a half days the Festival is still excellent value . An Adult Season Ticket at the Gate Price equates to just over $5 an hour. Purchase during the Early Bird Periods and you can save over 25% off the Gate Price.
Due to space limitations at Exhibition Park In Canberra we are taking the proactive step of limiting the number of Season Tickets + Camping that will be on sale for 2010 and also introducing Campground Vehicle Passes. Camping Tickets will be available until March 5 2010 during pre-Festival ticketing. They will not be available at the Gate.
In order to make the site a bit more comfortable Day Tickets will be sold for individual days in 2010. Day tickets are valid only on the day stated on the ticket. Tickets are not exchangeable or refundable. To help you choose which day to come to the event Day Tickets will not be on sale until the Festival Timetable is released in February.

Special Deal for Tasmanian Residents
Tasmania is the Feature State for the 2010 National Folk Festival. To celebrate this and to encourage Tasmanian’s to make the long journey to Canberra at Easter the Festival is offering a limited number of free Season Tickets and Free Season + Camping Tickets to all Tasmanian residents. Proof of residency will be required when purchasing your tickets and will also need to be shown when entering the event. Please not these tickets are non-transferable. If you are a Tasmanian Resident and wish to order Tickets please call 1300 235 849.
Ticket Information
The Festival is operating a ticketing system which utilises wristbands with bar codes and pdf tickets.
All Early Bird Ticket buyers will receive their wristbands in the post. Make sure you keep these wristbands safe and remember to bring them to the Festival at Easter or you will not be able to get in.
When Tickets are purchased at the Gate a wristband will be provided for all Season, Day and Evening ticket purchases.
Tent City Accommodation
Tent City Accommodation is only available for Season Tickets purchasers with Camping. One Tent sleeps two (very comfy and convenient!) and tents are available for the nights of 1 April to 5 April.

Camping for Young People
Camping for people aged under 18 will only be sold in conjunction with camping to a responsible adult.
Contact details for the responsible adult will be taken by the Ticket Office.

(per ticket - eg. if you purchase 3 tickets you will be charged an additional $6.60)
Postage - $6 for Express Post or $1 for normal post
(you can nominate your preferred method of postage when placing your order)
